Recently retired from Georgia State University Police Department Investigations, where she also served as the Evening Watch Security Supervisor of the Atlanta Campus. Barbara is a Georgia P.O.S.T Certified Instructor, who is a Master Instructor with the Georgia Resiliency Program. She also worked for Clayton County District Attorney’s Office where she advocated countywide for the victims of felony crimes, primarily focusing on the Spanish speaking community.  Barbara has in excess of 20 years’ experience in Criminal and Family law. Since moving to Georgia from Chicago, Illinois in 1998 her goal has been to serve those without a voice.

Barbara and her husband are the parents of three sons, and grandparents of one boy and one girl.  She is hoping for more grandchildren in the future.
