Jessie Calmes grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, before moving to Atlanta, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science at Agnes Scott College, with a focus on U.S.-Latin American relations. She then earned her law degree at Georgia State University. During law school, Jessie focused on representing indigent clients at various public defenders offices throughout metro Atlanta before graduating and expanding her focus to immigration law.
As an attorney, Jessie has represented hundreds of clients before immigration courts and USCIS offices across the United States. She has also continued her criminal law work, appearing in courts throughout the state of Georgia in both pre- and post-conviction cases. Jessie is a passionate advocate and is dedicated to helping her clients change their lives for the better.
Jessie is a member of and has presented as a panelist for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
